Transparent light board is a type of board used for diffusing light sources and improving light distribution, commonly found in lightboxes, backlight modules, and various LED lighting products. There is a direct correlation between its production process and the uniformity of light output, which will be explained from two aspects: production process and control points.
In terms of production technology, the manufacturing of transparent light panels usually starts from the preparation of the substrate. The raw materials need to be dried and screened to control the moisture content and impurity content, in order to reduce bubbles or color differences in subsequent processing. The forming process often uses hot pressing or extrusion technology to process the substrate to the set thickness and density. During the hot pressing process, temperature, pressure, and time need to be kept stable to make the internal structure of the board more uniform and avoid local density differences. The formed board also needs to undergo surface leveling treatment to reduce uneven scattering of light when passing through. Some products will undergo surface coating or sanding treatment according to usage needs, adjusting the diffusion effect while maintaining transparency. The cutting and trimming process requires dimensional accuracy and edge flatness to adapt to subsequent installation structures.
In terms of controlling the uniformity of light output, it mainly focuses on three aspects: material, structure, and light source coordination. At the material level, it is necessary to control the light transmittance and haze of the board within a reasonable range. Light transmittance affects the overall brightness, while haze is related to the degree of light diffusion. At the structural level, the uniformity of board thickness and density directly affects the consistency of light output, and thickness deviation needs to be detected and controlled during the production process. At the level of light source coordination, the distance between the lamp board and the light source, as well as the density of light source arrangement, will affect the final uniformity. The spacing is too small, and the light has not fully diffused; If the spacing is too large, it may cause brightness loss. In practical applications, it is necessary to match and adjust the light source parameters with the characteristics of the lamp board.
In addition, temperature and humidity control in the production environment also runs through all stages, especially during the molding and storage stages, to avoid fluctuations in the performance of the board due to moisture absorption or rapid drying. Through process parameter management and multi link inspection, the transparent lamp board can maintain a relatively stable level in terms of transparency consistency and light output uniformity.
